HomeCrafter Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This is a translation of the Spanish original, Política de Privacidad. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This Privacy Policy describes how the HomeCrafter app
(com.asperor.homecrafter) collects, uses and protects its users' information.
Please read it carefully before using the app.

2. What data does the app collect?
HomeCrafter connects people who need a home service with professionals ("handypeople") who
offer it. For this to work, the app sends the following data to our server and stores it
there:
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a hash, never in plain text), mobile phone number (required), landline number (optional), whether you are a client or a professional, and language.
- Professional profile: if you sign up as a professional, profile photo (optional), service categories, working radius, bio and the ratings you receive.
- Location: the coordinates of each service request and, if you are a professional, the base location of your profile, so requests can be matched with nearby professionals.
- User-generated content: titles and descriptions of requests, attached photos, quote offers, chat messages between client and professional, and ratings.
- Device identifier for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging token), used only to tell you about new offers, messages or status changes.
- Subscription data (professionals only): the purchase identifier provided by Google Play, the product subscribed to, its status and its expiry date. We do not receive or store any payment details (card or bank account): payment is handled by Google Play.
- Password reset codes: if you ask to reset your password, we email you a code. It is stored encrypted and expires after 15 minutes.
This data is stored on the HomeCrafter server, an OVHcloud VPS located in France (European
Union) and managed by the data controller, and not locally on the device, because it is
needed to connect clients and professionals with each other.
3. Purpose of processing
- Creating and managing your account and session by means of an access token.
- Showing service requests to professionals whose area and categories match.
- Showing clients, on a map, the professionals and businesses near them in each category.
- Allowing offers to be sent, one of them to be accepted, and communication between client and professional.
- Calculating and showing each user's average rating from the ratings they receive.
- Sending push notifications about your activity in the app (new offer, new message, change in a request's status).
- Checking with Google Play that a professional's subscription is active.
- Sending you the emails your account needs, such as the password reset code.
4. Transfer of data to third parties
HomeCrafter does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
purposes. No advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs are integrated. The
following providers are involved in delivering the service:
- OVHcloud (France, EU): server hosting and sending emails.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): sending push notifications. Google may process the device token under its own privacy policy.
- Google Places (Google): when a client opens the professionals map, we send Google an approximate location (rounded to a grid of about 1 km) and the category searched, to also show local businesses. Your name, email and phone number are not sent.
- Google Play (Google): billing professionals' subscriptions and checking their status. The payment itself is governed by Google's privacy policy.
5. Visibility between users
- When a professional sends an offer, the client who posted the request sees their name, profile photo (if any), average rating and contact details: email address, mobile number and, if provided, landline number, so they can get in touch.
- The content of a request (title, description, photos and location) is visible to professionals in the matching category and area while the request is open. The client's contact details are not shown to professionals.
- Chat messages are only visible to the client and the professional on that request.
6. Data security
Passwords are always stored as a hash (never in plain text). Access to the API uses
individual, revocable session tokens, sent only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Access to the server is restricted to the data controller.
7. Minors
HomeCrafter is not intended for minors, and no data from minors is knowingly collected.
8. User rights
You can access, rectify or delete your data at any time:
- By editing your profile, requests or offers in the app.
- By requesting the complete deletion of your account and related data by writing to stefanradilov@gmail.com.
9. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any significant change will be
communicated in the app itself or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of the
document will always reflect the version in force.
10. Contact
For any question or request about this privacy policy, you can contact the data
controller at:
stefanradilov@gmail.com — Tel. +34 624 188 074
11. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and all your data at any time from the app itself
(Profile → Delete account) or, without installing the app, from
this page. If you were the
professional assigned to another client's request, that assignment is cancelled.
